The webinar, organised by the World Baseball Softball Confederation and International Testing Agency, will take place on 7 December in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish and French. WBSC Athletes' Commission Member and ITA Education Ambassador Randolph Oduber will answer questions.

The partnership, the first to be implemented between WADA and a sports federation in Puerto Rico, aims to promote fair play and raise awareness of clean sports by implementing doping control in the Double-A Superior Baseball League.

"The WBSC will continuously address best efforts to make our sport stronger, better and more accountable," commented WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari.

The webinars are on Zoom and are available in English (primary), Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, French and Russian (simultaneous translation). April 14 is WADA's 'Play True Day' 2023.

In total 80 athletes, eight coaches and 10 other officials and event organisers listened to the educational presentation.

Participation is free. The webinar is available in English, Spanish and French and is part of the "Play Ball, Play Fair" campaign run by the WBSC Integrity Unit.

Oduber most recently played for the Netherlands in last year's Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games final baseball qualifier. He became an WBSC Athletes' Commission member in 2019 and an IOC Prevention of Manipulation of Competition Ambassador last year. Earlier this year, he became an International Testing Agency Education Ambassador and one of the first International Olympic Committee (IOC) certified Safeguarding Officers. He was also named assistant coach to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Baseball Team, which will compete in the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in September.

One new part of the partnership extension is the use of ITA’s dedicated intelligence & investigations capacity which will complement existing analytical and non-analytical methods of detecting anti-doping rule violations for the WBSC.
